Partnering as the engineering hand for Brandlifte, we built a bespoke Next.js and Framer Motion editorial photography portfolio for Edinburgh-based photographer Sanjo, delivering sub-100ms transitions.
The challenge was to create a 'Timeless & High-End' feel on the web. A standard template would feel cheap and disconnect the user from the Cinematic promise.
We engineered a bespoke 'App-Like' experience using the Next.js App Router. By treating the browser window as a canvas, we implemented smooth inertial scrolling and page transitions that mimic the flow of a movie.
